BBC takes political sides

Isn’t the BBC supposed to be apolitical and fair to all parties, especially before an election?

Yes, I know they’re biased lefties, but their blatant attack on UKIP on the Today programme should NOT go unchallenged.

It is amazing how some of the reporting of elections is biased.

For instance on its rolling news reports yesterday the BBC managed to mention

Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, United Kingdom Independence Party, British National Party, Libertas, Christian Party. In fact it mananged to mention EVERY political party standing EXCEPT The English Democrats.

This comes after the BBC removed the Party Political Broadcast for the English Democrats from the Iplayer because apparently it proved “too popular”

During the “Launch” the BBC showed un-authorised Video footage, to imply that a “agreed setting” pre-agreed by the BBC was actually a meeting, with the implication that those six people who had attended purely to erect the back drop, were a small audience, when infact the “agreed setting” had only been provided to take advantage of the 20 Seconds the BBC offered the English Democrats as “Fair and reasonable coverage”.

You will notice also that in the title of this BBC piece they do not even mention the full name of the Party just refering to them as Democrats. It isnt till you get further into the article you find out the party is the English Democrats

Does that ammount to an institutional bias against the English

The BBC is so pro EU – it tries very hard not to mention England.

Surely they can’t be allowed to get away with removing your PPB from IPlayer? Outrageous! Have the English Democrats reported this to the BBC trust and the Electoral Commission?

I’ll put the video on my blog and help you publicise it if you like.

Its exactly the same here in Cornwall, despite Labour and the Lib Dems taking a bashing in the euro and local elections last year all of the coverage is about the big three. Today on the Spotlight programme, three candidates for the Camborne Redruth and Hayle seat all has a good couple of minutes to lay out their policies and why to vote for them. Then at the end there was simply a list of the other candidates, Mebyon Kernow, UKIP, Green Party and an independent.
Quite how they can justify the time given to Labour when at the Euro polls they were beaten by MK, UKIP and the Greens is beyond me. Personally I am a Mebyon Kernow supporter and I would like to see them given coverage, but I am also a democrat and think every party no matter who they are should be given an equal voice. After all the point of democracy is to give the voter the choice, at the moment somewhat blighted by the BBCs bias.
